The Role

Our Catheter Laboratory (Cath Lab) at Epworth Richmond has a great opportunity for a Grade 1 or 2 Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join its Cath Lab team and to further develop their career.

In this role you will, as well as taking images, be involved in the treatment of patients and learning from leading cardiologists, vascular surgeons and peers.

The Cath Lab Suite comprises of three (3) brand new Philips Laboratories as well as a state of the art Hybrid Theatre and conducts some 4300 cardiac and vascular interventions annually. It also has an advanced Structural Heart Program having completed over 700 TAVIs.

You will make an impact by:

Interacting with leading cardiologists, vascular surgeons and peers
Setting up of equipment and taking charge of imaging
Ensuring a smooth procedure under instruction
Delivering an exceptional patient experience within our services

To be successful in this role you will:

Hold current Radiographer registration with AHPRA
Hold current Radiation Use Licence
Have the ability to work in a dynamic, constantly changing environment
Have excellent communication skills
Have experience in a similar role or be willing to learn and develop with guidance
