Assistant Director – Community Child Care Centre

Southern Suburbs - SA

A full-time contract position, starting 2021. For the right candidate, this could become a permanent position.

This position provides support to the Director, team leaders, parents, children and wider community.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is a requirement (or ACECQA assessed equivalent). Candidates with leadership experience in the early years are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

Support the centre director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care.
Responsible for the overall management of the centre in the centre director’s absence.
Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years' Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQF).
Be an approachable leader amongst the community of families, children and teaching teams.
Approach tasks in a professional manner, using initiative and flexibility.
Demonstrate good organisational skills and professionalism.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is a requirement. Candidates with leadership experience in the early years are encouraged to apply.

Diploma in ECE or Bachelor of ECE (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)
Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID004
Responding to Abuse & Neglect Certificate
Working with Children Check – South Australia

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.

Candidates who do not currently have the above-mentioned certificates, must have a willingness to obtain them.
