The Venue

This is a non-pretentious, busy CBD venue that is close to hustle and bustle of Circular Quay but manages to maintain a nice local feel. It’s a popular lunch spot for most of the offices in the area, with a large bistro serving up much-loved pub classics, a great sports bar, TAB and gaming room.

The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue on your shift, with a strong emphasis on rostering, training and stock control. This is a professional environment which offers the candidate the chance to work with a very rewarding and progressive company.

You will play a key part in the motivation and development of staff, ensuring the smooth running of the venue and creating a great guest experience.

You'll have a ton of support from the Licensee and the rest of the team and they will train you in all aspects of running a successful business.

Required Experience

This role is perfect for an Assistant Manager with experience in large multi-faceted venues. You will need to be hands-on and enjoy working in a busy, dynamic environment. Some experience with event operations and rostering for medium-large teams is ideal as well as -

Proven experience building, leading, managing, motivating and driving teams to consistently reach targets
Savvy with administration and technology
Self-motivated and driven
Fantastic presentation and great communication skills.
The ability to think creatively and work autonomously

The Hours

Your hours will be around 50 per week on a rotating roster. The venue is closed on Sunday’s and there is also the opportunity to have a weekend off every few weeks.

FAL Hotels has three busy and well run, and respected venues in the CBD and Outer West and they have been busy. Taking the time to reflect, learn and grow in this strange time of uncertainty. They are looking forward to coming back and trading a smarter and more resourceful business. They have been implementing new initiatives, from working with coaches on company culture, working with its people on personal growth to new business offerings and ways of operating. It's a very focussed and positive time and energy in the business.
They are reopening and have a couple of key roles available, it's not about just anyone though.
