This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced counsellor to join our client in the Wollongong area.

About the role
You will provide high quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy using your expertise in childhood development and family dynamics.

This includes providing education programs to individuals, couples, and families and responding to a diverse range of issues such as trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended families.

Based in Wollongong, this is initially a contract position on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be working (3-4) days per week.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

Qualifications in social work, family therapy, counselling, psychology, degree qualified in Social Sciences or equivalent
Post Graduate qualification and training in Relationship Counselling or equivalent with an understanding of the systemic approach.
Minimum 100 hours of clinically supervised face to face counselling experience with couples and/or with families.
Self-management and ability to work within the organisation’s ethical framework, policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
Efficient administrative skills including the use of information technology and databases for communication, evaluation and data collection
Capacity to provide quality customer-focused care.
