Full Time ; Supporting a customer based in the Wheatbelt Region

Are you a caring individual or family wanting to provide support and connection to a young woman with disability?

Avivo aims to assist their customers to achieve their goals and have choice and control over their life. Host support is a great opportunity for our customers to share experiences with others, develop meaningful relationships and build on their strengths, abilities and interests.

We are looking for an enthusiastic couple, family or individual in the Northam Toodyay area, who would be willing to invite and Host our customer in their home and include them in their life, family, networks and community.

Our costumer is a 34-year-old woman who enjoys mixing with a variety of people. She responds well to families with children and pets and loves listening to music and dancing.

The ideal Host will have an active lifestyle and commitment to caring for others. The support provided will be respite for the full time Host Carer. Ideally this will involve support for a week at a time, supporting her in your own home environment and including her in your normal daily routine. She is also supported by Support Workers every week day out and about in the community for 6 hours each day.

Our customer does require assistance with self-care including showering and dressing, so someone patient, kind and respectful is of key importance. She enjoys being well dressed and manicured, with attention to her personal care being important to her.

The successful applicant will need to have a suitable spare bedroom in their home and ideally hold a background in disability and/or health care.

Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process or on request.
