Permanent part-time position 34.2 hours per week
Provide a broad range of services to the ED patients, doctors and visitors
Cleaning, delivering meals and transportation of patients

The Role
In this permanent part-time Hospitality Services Assistant you will be working in our busy Emergency Department reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager. You will deliver a high-quality service to our patients, doctors and visitors. You will be required to work in all areas of the Emergency Department assisting nurses and doctors in delivering exceptional patient care.

You will make an impact by:

Providing a high quality clean and safe environment for patients, doctors and staff
Cleaning: bed making, laundry, linen distribution, waste disposal
Assistance in moving and transporting patients

To be successful in this role.
You will have an upbeat personality and positive attitude. You will be happy working autonomously, in a team and with patients directly. Your role will be varied, as your day to day tasks will chop and change due the nature of the ebb and flow of the Emergency department.

You will have:

A strong customer service focus; able to deliver on, and respond compassionately to our patients’ needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly confidently and courteously.
An organised approach to work, able to work consistently and effectively in a busy environment.
Well-developed understanding of Infection Control in a hospital environment.
The ability work any shift, as required, on weekdays, weekends and public holidays is a must.
Adaptability to change tasks throughout your shift readily
