The responsibilities and duties of the role include the following:

Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to scope, design and develop creative, innovative and highly-interactive learning and communication products which support identified organisational objectives.
Consult with business areas to support the use of blended learning practices across the organisation.
Translate complicated concepts and messages into plain English.
Prepare documentation to enable the development of online learning products.
Manage stakeholder and client expectations while providing tailored solutions and advice.
Develop, or contribute to project plans and scoping proposals for the design, development and implementation of online learning products.
Provide advice on and apply instructional design, learning theory and online usability principles, ensuring that accessibility requirements are considered.
Ensure quality assurance processes are applied in the development of online products.
Facilitate training and information sessions.

There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications and/or experience in the creation of online learning material is highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you will need:

a working knowledge of digital and data technology/ systems;
the ability to interpret and apply legislation and/or policy or the ability to rapidly acquire this capability;
sound competence of integrating good-practice instructional design principles (that is, user-centric focus, accessibility and usability) in learning design and development;

Experience working in online learning authoring products such as Articulate Storyline would also be highly desirable.
