About the opportunity

We are seeking a competent and passionate Child and Family Health Nurse to join our professional and welcoming team, who has a desire to make a difference to families in the community.

You will have a demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with others in a personable and professional manner and the ability to use your strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts as they arise.

You will have an understanding of the family partnership and anticipatory guidance approach that is utilised to promote optimal infant and maternal mental health, child development and positive parent child relationships.

You will join one of the world’s leading and connected rural health services as a Child and Family Health Nurse (CFHN) where we are driven by a single goal; healthier rural people- thriving communities. Passion for helping children to live start their lives with their best chance of thriving is at the heart of the (CFHN) in western NSW. The CFHN joins the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing preventative, early detection and early referral for intervention/ treatment care and services to children (0-5 years) and their parents/carers including the offer of a home visit following the birth of every child within the Western New South Wales Local Health District (WNSWLHD).
