The Role
The Maritime Cross-Platform Systems Program Office team is seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to fulfil the role of Business Support Officer. This role will suit candidates with experience in administration, finance, security and human resources functions.

About our Team
The Maritime Cross-Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO), within Maritime Systems Division, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), located in Sydney CBD, is responsible for the provision of seaworthy materiel in support of the Australian Defence Force. The MCPSPO sustains complex military systems and equipment within its configuration baseline.

The SPO relies on a large industry base (in-country and overseas) for supply support, engineering support, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on-board HMAS Ships and at RAN Shore Establishments.

The Business Management section is responsible for providing administrative and business support across MCPSPO. This includes management of security, human resources, records, facilities, finance and executive support functions.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be a team focused individual who is able to establish and maintain strong relationships within a network of internal and external stakeholders. You will be well organised with strong administrative skills and the ability to interpret and practically apply policy in a business context. Strong problem solving skills, experience in contributing to continuous business improvement and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines will be required.

Experience within an administration, security or human resources role is desirable, however at a minimum you will require the ability to undertake and quickly apply training in policy, procedure and business systems.
