Seeking a trade Engineer with heavy vehicle fleet management experience to join a large commuter transport firm.

Join a large Commuter Transport company and drive engineering directives for asset management, procurement and maintenance for the fleet and depots, and design, construction and commission for new sites, all around NSW.

Purpose:
Be part of the Executive Management team and provide operational and strategic support to multiple teams and sites across NSW.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialist technical and engineering advice and strategies to implement asset improvement initiatives.
Develop strategic asset plans including upgrading, refurbishing, re purposing and purchasing for the fleet.
Lead procurement initiatives.
Manage the transition of the fleet to electric vehicles and plan infrastructure change strategy.
Manage projects including upgrading infrastructure to accommodate the change to an electric fleet.
Develop facilities plans for depots, workshops and offices.
Set KPIs for the teams in order to ensure team and individual growth and improvement.

Ideal Profile:

You will have a technical qualification in engineering, civil, electrical or mechanical or trade to be able to apply first hand knowledge when directing the team and managing build projects.
Extensive experience in the Transport industry and fleet management working with heavy vehicles eg. trains, trucks, buses, aviation etc.
Experience developing asset management systems and plans.
Experience in design, construct and commission of infrastructure.
Good project management experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, can collaborate with various team members and cultures.
