Full Time Lead Engineer Mechanical

$80,000 - $95,000 Plus SUPERANNUATION

SUMMARY

Ensure that the Electrical team provides consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables and products for the construction of Plant. Oversees, guides, and manages the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers and employees. Promotes environmental stewardship and a work culture focused on health and safety. We have an opportunity for this role in the Solar/EPC environment to join the project team based at head office and will also be required to travel to project sites.

DUTIES

Helping surveyor during the survey period for alignment of line and breadth of ramming lines in length, distance, altitude and breadth between two trackers as per drawing.
Develop standard operation procedure and qualities and safety standards for uploading modules and synchronize with connectors
Design checklists for review and inspection of completed trackers and module installation as per drawing
Create panel schedules & connectors in accordance with approved drawing for solar electric PV area.
Provide technical direction and support to installation team during ramming, tracker erection and piling in confirmation with approved drawings and quality standard.
Co-ordinate with SCADA engineer in computer simulation of solar PV generation system performance / energy production
Extending support to Electrical Engineer for installation of DCSC cable laying and while making connections with the PV modules, SCB boxes and slew motors.
Design Schedule for test and evaluation of PV modules
Track and inform any process variations to Project Manager and initiate if any correction / modification where required
Ensure all mechanical activities are in accordance with the approved project schedule with 100% conformation of the standard quality of the client.
Ensure safety standards are being followed / adhered to by all stakeholders involved into mechanical works.
Manage any grievances or concerns of skilled and unskilled workforce of your team.
Prepare daily progress reports (DPR) and publish through Tool Box talks.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education

Engineering background/Mechanical Engineer Degree

Experience

7+ years of mechanical engineering work experience at construction site. Experience of 2 – 3 years required in a PV Solar construction site.
