Based in South Perth, a rare part time opportunity has presented for a suitably qualified Public Practice Tax Accountant to join this well-regarded team of Accounting professionals with a strong focus on client service and responsiveness.

With a reputation of being ethical and professional, you will enjoy a role that entails assisting clients with a variety of taxation and accounting related issues. You will be joining a well-established Practice with a strong advisory focus who embrace technology, encourage career advancement, and pride themselves on their long-standing, loyal employees.

You will be required to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’s.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparation of financials for SME businesses (Sole Traders, partnerships, trusts & Companies)
Preparation of income tax returns
Preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT returns
Liaising with ATO, ASIC and other Government agencies on behalf of clients;
Assisting client queries on various taxation and accounting issues &
Adhoc Bookkeeping and Accounting related duties.

To be successful in this position you will have:

At least 2 years previous experience in Tax within a Public Practice Firm
Completed a Degree in Accounting
Qualified/Near Qualified CA/CPA would be advantageous
Fully conversant with Trust and Company Tax issues
Excellent skills with BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax
Currently using Xero is desirable
Advanced skills in IT and cloud accounting
The ability to embrace the firm's culture of care and service
Ability to problem solve and achieve positive outcomes
Highly developed communication skills &
A can-do attitude.
