Estimator - Structures and Commercial Construction

The client has several business units in Commercial construction, Concrete structure and formwork and are now looking to recruit an estimator for their office in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable organization working on large concrete structures and commercial projects. Due to the success and growth of the company over the last number of years this position is offering an excellent opportunity to further develop and enhance your career.

The duties of the Estimator - Structures and Commercial Construction

Estimating from first principles for major projects
Responsible for estimating through tender stages
Review current processes and systems and suggest changes to increase efficiency
Appropriately challenge costings supplied
Provide genuine input to deliver better value for money
Analysing and selecting the best suppliers and subcontractors available

The skills and requirements for Estimator for this role include:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction economics or engineering
Experience working on Structures, Formwork and commercial build
Strong technical knowledge and expertise
Previous experience delivering successful tenders for projects up to the value of $10m
