Commercial Development Manager (Electricity Markets and T&D)

$170K - $200K + Super + Bonus

COMPANY:
Our client is an energy networks and utilities company in the electricity, distribution and infrastructure space.
The company is searching for a senior Commercial Development Manager who will be responsible for the strategic development of new business, building up new relationships and closing deals with a focus on Commercial and Industrial clients. This person should have a technical/engineering background with experience in energy infrastructure selling equipment distribution services focused on high voltage. They should also have exposure to substations and transformers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

To identify new opportunities and assess if to pursue a potential opportunity.
Develop new relationships and build with new Commercial and Industrial clients.
Sell high voltage equipment to C&I customers for projects.
Oversee large electricity infrastructure projects.
Attend meetings and conduct site visits.
Explain and understand technical aspects around substations and transformers, with the ability to communicate around these in meetings.
Closing deals, negotiating contracts and driving business.

YOU WILL HAVE:

An Electrical Engineering degree or similar.
8+ years in Energy Sales/ Business Development, within the Energy industry, preferably around electricity infrastructure and/or high voltage products.
Experience and a network of C&I customers.
Experience in overseeing projects.
Ability to communicate about technical products.
Proven sales track record and ability to build up a portfolio.
Hunter mentality with a driven mindset.
Excellent communication skills, personable and ability to build relationships.
