What you will be doing

The position is providing senior support to the Manager – Clinical Costing Systems in the provision of accurate, reliable, relevant and timely clinical costing information.

The position supports the provision and analysis of the District Network Return (DNR) for NSW Health and the National Hospital Data Collection that is submitted to the Commonwealth (via NSW Health) for National costing studies and the development of national cost weights.

The position is responsible for the development of, maintenance and progressing quality improvement in relation to clinical costing systems within the MLHD.

The incumbent will take the primary lead in the management and development of costing feeder systems, data including the accurate alignment of costs with patient activity (sourced from multiple data repositories) to calculate the cost of service provision at an individual encounter level.
