About the Company & Opportunity:

This is an international business with a large range of electrical products. They are currently growing their teams across Australia, looking for some key staff that can grow and help expand the business. If you have been in a Application Engineering role with the ability to work with a large team and clients, looking for that next long term opportunity, then this will be for you.

Ideal Background:

Experience in Power Protection, Transformer Testing, Cable Testing, General Electrical Testing, Field testing experience or electrical transformers or cabling.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing applications support and technical assistance for the complete product range for Australia and New Zealand;
Develop full understanding product range (product training provided);
Conduct customer site visits and perform product demonstrations;
Application support visits to all States of Australia and New Zealand;
Handle technical telephone enquiries;
Develop and run training courses;
Develop and run technical workshops and seminars;
Assist with product launches introductions;
Man stand at exhibitions and assist with setup;
Conduct market surveys / competition intelligence gathering;
Maintain competitor technical/price files;
Some proactive customer out calling required;
Provide distributor support, technical assistance as well as market direction;
Conduct joint sales visits with sales staff;
Produce monthly activity report;
Maintain customer contact database;
Handle service enquiries, manage service process;
Follow-up technical enquiries;
Write technical application articles for internal publication;
Provide internal sales/office/warehouse assistance in the absence of other employees;
Manage demonstration stock inventory.

To be considered to must have:

Min of 3 - 5 years experience in a application engineering position;
Completed a Electrical Engineering or relevant degree;
Australian experience, with full work rights;
