About NSW Telco Authority
The NSW Telco Authority is working with government agencies and other partners to design and build the next generation of critical operational communications services to better serve and NSW communities.

The Telco Authority has received significant government investment to deliver major programs including a public safety network (the Critical Communications Enhancement Program), Regional Digital Connectivity and NSW Mobile Black Spot program. We also play a key role in the development of a national Public Safety Mobile Broadband capability.

The NSW Telco Authority operates as a standalone Statutory Authority within the Department of Customer Service. Our environment is fast-moving with collaboration and culture being key to our success.

About the Role
The NSW Telco Authority is looking for a Senior Contracts Officer to join their team. Working in the Commercial Contracts team this role will responsible for managing established contracts, negotiating changes and monitoring supplier performance.

Key accountabilities will include:
·       Conducting and supporting contract negotiations with key internal/external customers
·       Negotiating payment profiles and associated terms to meet the cash flow requirements of the business
·       Analysing and interpreting complex contract terms and conditions, advising on their impact and associated risk and liability to stakeholders at all levels.
·       Working closely with stakeholders, ensuring that project proposals do not prejudice later negotiation stages relating to price, intellectual property or other contractual matters.
·       Liaising with teams within and outside the agency providing sound commercial and contractual advice.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced contract professional with experience in a similar position. You have an awareness of Governance processes along with an awareness of best commercial and governance practice.
You have strong communication and negotiation skills and are able to foster successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
An understanding of contracts in government will be highly regarded.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $110,745 base plus superannuation
