Guardien Group is a not for profit organisation who provide supported accommodation to people with a physical or intellectual disability in the Redlands Area. We are an innovative organisation who reach beyond the traditional role of a support worker. We offer holistic care with the individual at the centre of all our planning.

We are looking for Casual staff across a number of Supported Accommodation Houses in the Redlands area to support the increased support needs as a result of COVID-19.

Our participants have high support needs including anxiety, intellectual impairment and challenging behaviours. Experience with epilepsy is also highly regarded.

The successful applicants will be required to work over a 24/7 roster across multiple locations with current shifts, including:

- split shifts

- some sleepovers

- weekends

- emergency cover shifts

Casual roles will be between 10-15 hours per week on a rotating 7 day roster, including some sleepovers.

What you will need to be a successful applicant:

> Team player with a minimum of 6 months experience working in the disability sector.
> Ability to be flexible, understanding and empathetic.
> Experience with personal care, medications, manual handling and behaviour support plans.
> willing to work shift work including emergency/on call shifts.
> Current Blue and Yellow Cards or be willing to obtain these.
> Current Australian Drivers Licence and be willing to transport people in your car when required.
> Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
