We are seeking a talented Centre Cook /Chef who is passionate about fresh and wholesome meals for children to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the passion for cooking healthy nutritious meals for up to 75 children per day Monday - Friday. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to work school hours around other commitment

The successful candidate will have:

Flexibility and open mindedness
Be reliable, motivated and enthusiastic toward the centre and their role as Chef / Cook.
Have great time management skills and be confident managing a kitchen, including revision of menu and recipes seasonally.
Have a current Working with Children ‘Blue’ card. (Or willing to obtain)
Prepare healthy & nutritious meals on time for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the children each day; based on current research along with family and child needs.
Order food supplies in line with menus and within service budget;
Responsible for ordering, unpacking, rotating and re-stocking stock and products.
Ability to manage work load and prioritise to ensure efficiency and quality.
Ability to plan menus that meet the tastes buds of children and are healthy, nutritious and fresh.
Ability to implement the Food Safety Program and work in partnership with external auditors.
Food safety knowledge
Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
Possess a warm and friendly attitude.

Qualifications:

Food Handling and Safety Certificate
Working with Children Check
