About Our Client

Our client is global leader in the food service space, has a global procurement network to draw knowledge from and operates throughout Australia.

Job Description

As the senior leader in the food service space you will ultimately be responsible for full end to end category management and procurement of all food and beverage for the Australian business.

You will be able to articulate examples of strong stakeholder management, category management, negotiation and hitting the management of a small team.

Your experience will include but not be limited to:

- Manage contracts, recognise savings and implement cost saving procedures
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them onside and manage their expectations

- Develop suppliers in line with the procurement& supply chain strategy

- Solve ad-hoc problems on the job when it comes to commodity & supply chain issues

- Lead and develop and inspire a team

- Specifically you will have food service or food & beverage procurement experience with multi-million dollar spend

- Have recent experience in both strategic procurement and hands on buying

- Present findings to the senior management, with rectification plans, should they be required
- Uphold and overall procurement processes, best practice and policies, should it be required

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have significant experience working within food service, food, beverage or FMCG Industry and have specific experience in large scale food & beverage categories.

Utilising your experience in this category you will have:

- Previous senior sourcing experience, focusing on a similar sized role
- Track record of procurement process improvement, contracts management and achieving success through negotiation and influencing
- Positives references leaving the procurement department in better shape than when you found it.
