Period of employment / Hours:

Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Location:

Housing, Disability and Community Services - Program Support - Hobart

Duties:

Primary Purpose / Focus :

The role of the Program Support Unit (PSU) is to provide coordinated support services to Housing, Disability and Community Services (HDCS) business units, including the interface with departmental corporate units, Ministers Office and stakeholders.

The Team Leader Data and Reporting will:

* Manage and monitor the daily work demands of the Data and Reporting Team to ensure services are prioritised in accordance with contracts, agreements, policy and procedural timeframes and operational requirements.
* Be responsible for the effective and efficient service delivery of the following reporting services;
* HDCS performance reporting (internal and external).
* National reporting such as Report on Government Services (ROGS) and National Minimal Data Set (DS-NMDS).
* Development of systems based reporting/reports for HDCS staff.
* Corporate units requests for data/information.

* As a subject matter expert, provide specialised advice and recommendation on best practice in regard to data storage and management to support HDCS data collections including sector provided data as well as data sharing activities.
* Manage the ongoing development, maintenance, integration and technical environments of HDCS business information systems in relation to data repositories.
* Coordinate and facilitate key corporate and business initiatives, change proposals and projects on behalf of or for HDCS.

Selection criteria includes:

* Highly developed management skills, including:
* Demonstrated ability to manage financial, human and physical resources and monitor effectiveness and efficiencies through the application of contemporary management techniques.
* Project management and change management skills.
* Proven ability to manage people and display leadership in an environment of change, competing priorities and meeting client expectations.

* High level expertise in information management, data analysis and information systems support and management as it pertains to planning, service system development, program design, performance monitoring and evaluation, with the ability to review, design, develop and work with complex database systems, metadata and standards.
* High level experience in applications development, applications administration and data management and the infrastructure and technical environments.

* Working towards or successful completion of qualifications relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements:

* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (Employment type)
