The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia's national criminal intelligence agency. We advise senior decision makers on serious and organised crime impacting Australia. The Senior Advisor, Workplace Relations role is an integral part of ACIC's HR team and you will be given the opportunity to contribute your expertise to practices, policies and processes that will positively shape the future of ACIC.
You will have sound analytical and judgment skills as well as personal drive and integrity. You will be a team player with strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to focus on relationship management to deliver high quality work to your stakeholders, including senior managers and the Executive.

Finally, your strong client focus will support productive working relationships, even when dealing with complex matters, and build networks both within and outside the agency.

The key duties of the position include
• Working closely with line areas, including senior managers, to provide effective, best practice advice relating to sensitive and complex workplace relations matters. • Partnering with line areas to provide accurate and strategic workplace relations advice in relation to the ACIC Enterprise Agreement, relevant legislation and ACIC policy • Maintaining and applying a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation including, but not limited to, the Public Service Act 1999, the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002 and their subordinate legislation. • Managing the consultation processes, including with staff and unions, and providing secretariat support to the ACIC's Consultative Committee • Assist to develop and deliver learning and development programs that support the workplace relations functions within the agency • Drafting and reviewing HR policies and procedures that meet legislative and business requirements • Reviewing and providing recommendations to improve HR processes and procedures
