HOBAN are currently looking for an a Food Safety & Compliance officer to work within a Environmental Health Officer capacity for our local council client based out of Cabooture. The successful applicant will have strong investigative, analytical and research skills.

About the role:

Caboolture location
Provide advice to management and staff in regards to environmental health matters
Investigate matters relating to State Government legislation and local laws relevant to food, environment, permitted business, noise, nuisance and other matters
Assess and process applications for licences, registrations, permits, approvals, renewals, etc, within statutory time frames
Issue correspondence, directions, compliance notices and penalty infringement notices
Interact, educate, and liaise in a professional courteous manner with members of the public, the private sector, and government agencies in providing specialist advice

Skills and requirements:

Exposure to the food safety and compliance arena
Tertiary qualifications in environmental health, health science or public health
Strong investigative, analytical and research skills
Well-developed people and relationship skills with the ability to work in a team environment
Drivers Licence
Strong computer and record keeping skills
