About the Role

Our ability to strategically build relationships and engage with employers across the state to support a proactive and sustainable approach to Employment Services both locally and nationally has never been more important, which is why we are now seeking a suitably experienced State Employer Engagement Lead, Victoria to support and implement employer engagement strategies across the state.

Reporting to the General Manager, Employer Engagement, this position is suited to a self-driven and ambitious individual with demonstrated success in new business development and relationship management who is looking for their next career challenge. A key leadership position across our Employer Engagement unit, this position will be required to:

Acquire new business opportunities
Build and manage high level relationships with medium to large employers across Victoria
Lead engagement initiatives with employers across the state with a focus on creating employment opportunities for our jobseekers
Provide strategic and innovative solutions to partner with and support jobseekers and employers in their engagement with Matchworks
Conduct labour market and trend analysis to ensure our current priorities and focus aligns with the markets we operate within
Drive cross-branch collaboration to ensure that there is a consistent and uniform approach to all aspects of employer engagement

Key to success in this position will be previous experience in an account management or business development position with demonstrated success in acquiring new business opportunities, building rapport and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of people. Additionally, the successful applicant will have leadership capability and an interest in coaching and developing staff and an innovative and solutions focussed mindset
