Experienced Construction Planning Coordinator required for major projects in Melbourne.

The Construction Planning Coordinator will use their well-developed technical skills to ensure jobs proceed to construction in a timely manner while acting as an effective liaison between key stakeholders.

Qualification Required:

Diploma of ESI Power Systems/Associate Diploma of Electrical Engineering/Certificate 3 in Electrical Distribution

Job Description:

The role is responsible for supporting the smooth delivery of construction projects by providing construction expertise during the plan and design phase. Duties throughout the lifecycle of the project will include but are not limited to the following

Assess job complexity, determine job readiness requirements and progress job in a timely manner
Review and approve constructability of design, materials and scheduled expectancies and facilitate amendments
Raise Switching Register Requests (SRR) and Planned Outage Notification (PON) for jobs
Take corrective action to avoid missed deadlines and/or cost overruns
Engage with Works Program Delivery for allocation of resources for major jobs
Establish and maintain effective links with teams in Design & Customer Programs, Electricity Networks and Works Program Delivery.
Serve as a point of escalation for complex enquiries, escalated complaints or exceptions and actively resolve directly with members of the team

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:

Excellent relationship management, including communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders
Strong knowledge & understanding of VESI design, technical standards & construction practices for distribution & sub transmission network up to & including 66 kV
Proven ability to build a job from a maintenance/construction file, ensuring related quality, cost and timeframes are met
The ability to make sense of complex and high quantity information to effectively solve problems

This is a full time permanent position with the view to starting ASAP upon completion of pre-employment testing and assessments.
