ABOUT THE ROLE
A small, hands-on freight forwarding team are looking to add an Import Operator - Freight Forwarding. Handling both Air & Sea, this is a true 360 degree imports role. Working with an established client base, you will be tasked with coordinating the orders with agents, entering pre-alerts, cargo automation, coordinating with brokers, collection/deliveries along with some costing/invoicing. Candidates with strong air or sea exposure and the right attitude will be considered, as cross-training will be provided.

DUTIES
* Follow-up on missing documents from shippers, agents and local clients
* Registration of import air and sea files into the operating systems, including send sea and air cargo automation
* Ensure shipment files are passed onto Customs and Transport complete and on time
* Arrange with cartage with transport providers
* Provide status updates to a portfolio of clients

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* 2 to 3 years' minimum experience in an import freight forwarding team
* Previous experience dealing directly with agents and clients
* Exposure to working in a team environment
* Further education within International Logistics or Supply Chain an advantage
* Strong computer skills
