About the Opportunity

Knauf Australia now has a full-time opportunity for a Business Systems Manager to join their team in Matraville, NSW.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for developing the business systems vision and strategy to align with the organisation's strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role that will require you to identify and leverage new and emerging technologies, whilst also managing ad-hoc technology projects such as systems upgrades, integrations and migrations.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

Ensuring master data is well defined and consistently maintained;
Establishing methods to monitor process health, ensuring swift problem identification and correction;
Establishing and maintaining a central framework to capture regional system documentation;
Planning, coordinating and closely monitoring cutover and training for new systems and processes;
Conducting appropriate risk assessments and testing; and
Engaging with multiple stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Who is Knauf Looking For?

This role will suit someone who has qualifications and extensive in an IT or systems related field, and is looking to step up into their next challenge.

It is essential that you hold the following technical competencies:

Writing and developing Structured Query Language (SQL) - AzureSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, etc.;
Extensive experience with database design;
Building informational databases and designing systems and processes;
SAP Business Objects/Business Warehouse experience; and
Strong understanding of Accounting Information Systems, Financial Accounting and Compliance issues.

This is a highly varied, fast-paced position that will require you to have excellent attention to detail, time management and problem solving abilities. Knauf are looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who is genuinely ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will take ownership of the role and be able to drive real improvements across Knauf business systems.

In order to be successful in this role, you must be an exceptional communicator who is able to engage and manage multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Your ability to communicate problems and solutions back to the business in a clear and concise manner will be crucial. As such, strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential to your success, as will your initiative and a team player attitude!
