The government organisation is looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant. This is a 6-month contract with possible extension and it is based in the Inner West.

The focus of the role is to assist in the planning and implementation of the procurement cutover activities for the Finance & Operations Integration stream of the program. The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders assist in building a robust, detailed cutover schedule and take part in managing that schedule across testing, dress rehearsal and production go-live phases.

Responsibilities:

Gather the activities to feed into the detailed cutover plan for the Financial and Operating Integration Stream, merger of two company codes in SAP-ERP System
Assist the E2E Cutover Manager to lead the successful coordination and implementation of the activities in your stream during production and pre-production phases
Use your SAP FI and PPM/PS Functional knowledge and basic understanding of FI/PS crossovers to develop in-depth understanding of SAP-ERP data object dependencies and sequencing for the migration in the procurement stream
Gain a broad understanding of the wider business landscape to assist in gathering appropriate cutover task information
Facilitate workshops to build and refine the plan with project managers, data migration leads, business stakeholders, internal IT and Services Teams
Communicate clearly the responsibilities and involvement of required resources both in and outside of the program team
Assist the E2E Cutover Manager to develop and communicate the process for management of the cutover tasks, with a focus on your work stream
Assist the E2E Cutover Manager to develop and communicate the process for escalations and the rollback plan, with a focus on your work stream

Requirements:

5+ years' experience as a SAP Functional Consultant; strong knowledge in FI and PPM/PS is mandatory.
Cross-functional understanding of MM or IM is desirable
Experience with BPC would be an advantage
Demonstrated experience planning and leading procurement cutover activities in a large scale SAP ERP data migration.
Significant experience must be in large scale, enterprise environments with complex integration
Proven ability to lead groups of people to an outcome, facilitate workshops to resolve issues, form a detailed plan, develop and communicate processes
Demonstrated ability and technical skills to be "hands-on" when required, to get the job done
Basic Project Management and use of MS Project / Excel to build and manage plans
Able to work through volumes of information to provide clear direction and derive priority
Solid knowledge of data migration concepts, tools, processes and industry best practices
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to be able to manage competing priorities and give clear direction
Able to present the cutover key concepts, tailored to suit various business audiences dependent on their respective priorities and concerns:-
o Producing visual aids to communication timelines, sequences, processes
Apply a proactive, structured approach to developing a sound cutover plan, while demonstrating an ability to think 'outside the box' when necessary to achieve the best outcome
Be able to effectively present analysis outcomes and options
Extremely driven, logical and organised - must be able to get up to speed quickly and develop the cutover plan segments in a structured manner
Capability to present planning outputs, timelines and tasks clearly to non-technical stakeholders - use of Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to segment large issues or problem statements into smaller tasks to address and direct priorities accordingly
Able to start immediately.
