Join the team at Hume City Council's newest and largest leisure centre, Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre. Opening the doors in late 2017, Splash has established itself as one of the state's destination venues with over One Million visitations in the first twelve months of operations.

The Team Leader Aquatic Operations is responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, rostering and leadership of pool lifeguards ensuring high-quality supervision of users within the facility. This position also includes the management of aquatic assets in line with manufacturers specifications and industry best practise.

The successful person will work with the Coordinator Aquatic Services to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry and organisational documents, particularly working towards successful completion of annual Pool Safety Assessments. This will include review of relevant Aquatic Operation Risk assessments, policies/procedures and work instructions. This position will include rostered hours as a Duty Supervisor.

Key skills

* Experience in leading a large and diverse team including recruitment, training and managing staff to perform at a high standard
* Experience in maintaining compliance with industry guidelines and compliance codes
* Experience in coordinating a lifeguard service including providing supervision documentation to a team of lifeguards
* Experience in dealing with evolving and sometimes challenging situations
