Architectural and Material Consultant based in Smithfield.

Who is STP looking for:

This job is an opportunity for an architectural/design professional with extensive experience in the stone and tile industry, design, project consultancy and delivery, and working with clients in every stage of the design and construction project including initial sales processes through to contract completion.

Job Description

Essential Criteria:

5 + year of sales experience in the building material industry is a must
Tertiary education in the Architecture design
Ability to read, edit and revise Architectural drawings, charts and plans and estimations
Working knowledge of regulations and industry codes of practice
Competent in material and cost estimation of projects
Project management and contract management
Ability to conduct site visits and provide accurate project estimations and design consultations to construction managers and architects
Working knowledge of 3D visualization applications
Ability to lift and handle samples up to 20 kg
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
Have a drivers' license
Intermediate Email communication skills,
Intermediate Excel, word and outlook skills
Mathematics knowledge equivalent to year 12 or higher
Attention to details
Managing company’s social media

Key Responsibilities

Assisting project managers and liaison with the trades on installation projects, and work in progress.
Read and interpret the plans and advise clients on the right material for their schedule of finishes
Preparing preliminary sketches and drawings to assist with clients’ decision in selection of their material.
Inspection of works to ensure jobs are as per plans, standards and to clients’ satisfaction
Providing estimates of cost and quantities
Design and procurements of new material
Providing design assistance to clients’ in order to chose the right product for their project

Salary

$72,500.00 + superannuation

Subject to successful probation, commissions on sales will be added to the remuneration.

Working hours:

Full Time 38 hours a week including Saturday Work.
