Your new company
One of Australia's largest domestic gold producers with a mining and processing complex in WA's Kalgoorlie Goldfield region. The company recently invested in a new project with the intention to boost production and extend the life of the mine. Their plan is to build a new operation centre to support its mining and ore treatment facilities.

Your new role
As the Residential Pit Technician working on an 8:6 roster you will be responsible for;

Conducting risk assessments for field tasks at a team and individual level
Completion of regular safety inspections of grade control drill rigs and ancillary equipment
Assisting Geologists & Surveyors in completing ore mark ups, geological mapping, clast hole sampling ensuring no unplanned standby of mining equipment due to ore not being marked up
Ensuring samples meet the GC QC sampling standards before removal of samples from drill site
Reporting any non-compliance in sampling or drilling technique to the driller and Senior Geologist
Maintenance of electronic records of all sample submissions and drilling completed by Open Pit Geology team, ensuring paper copies and files are accessible
Regular stockpile sampling, ensuring data is recorded showing assayed grades.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in a similar role
Current unrestricted "C" Class WA Manual Drivers License
Forklift License (Desirable)
4WD competent and experience working in remote locations (Desirable)
Knowledge of geological sampling theory
Experience in conducting geological / geochemical sampling programs
Current National Police Clearance
Full working rights within Australia
