Salary: $75,000 - $86,000 + Salary Sacrifice Packaging + 25 days annual leave + $500 per year PD Budget

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join an Allied Health team on a Permanent basis and you will be joining their home care division visiting people within their own homes in the community. Reporting to the Allied Health Senior, this position provides clinical Occupational Therapy interventions in client’s homes. The position is based within South Australia's Metro area and includes travel within the community.

Home visits may include but not limited to: Home safety assessments, home modifications (grab rails, steps, banister rails, ramps), equipment prescription (wheelchairs, cushions, shower chair/stool, electric recliner chairs, cutlery), upper limb therapy, shower assessments, bed stick assessment, meal preparation assessments, scooter/electric wheelchair assessments, cognitive assessments.

To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a current practicing Certificate as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and can demonstrate experience in the following:

Skills & Experience

- 12 months experience as an OT

- Experience in assessing and evaluating functional needs of clients

- Demonstrated understanding of clinical education principles

- Demonstrated professional and organisational skills to efficiently meet the needs of clients, staff and other stakeholders

- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and the ability to be cross culturally sensitive.

- Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills

- Demonstrated commitment to continual professional and personal development

- Ability to initiate and maintain effective working relationships at any level within a large-scale organisation.

- Establish and monitor processes and standards to ensure excellent clinical customer service to clients.

- Working knowledge of Aged Care systems will be highly regarded but not essential.
