THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Project Managers (Civil) to join our Major Works division team within Sydney Trains. Major Works is part of our Engineering and Maintenance division which manages a $1.1 billion annual maintenance program to ensure the delivery of a safe, reliable passenger fleet and metropolitan rail network and to meet the expectations of our customers every day. The Project Managers are responsible for planning and coordinating projects within the civil discipline, managing and implementation of processes and systems for project governance, controls and reporting purposes, including cost, estimation, scheduling, risk and quality assurance systems require for the efficient and effective management of the divisions program of work. The role is accountable for delivery of project outcomes in line with the Major Works division annual program of work, responsible for using mature project management practices and sharing knowledge across project teams. You will drive the enablement of transparency and visibility of progress and performance across all stages of the project and program lifecycle.

The types of projects you will be working on (but not limited to) include;

* Civil infrastructure
* Bridge refurbishment
* Drainage program

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have similar experience within projects that required you to undertake an assurance function to drive consistent and effective performance management through influencing key stakeholders and contractors alike. You will be a champion at supporting transformational change and dealing with the potential resistance to change from both internal and external stakeholders. You will ideally have managed medium to large projects within Infrastructure, rail, construction or other engineering industries as well as be a proactive problem solver that is results driven.
