Casual Assistant in Nursing - Outpatients

About the role:
John Hunter Hospital Outpatient Service is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to work within our outpatient clinics on a casual basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for the provision of high quality nursing care for outpatients in a safe and competent manner under the supervision of the Registered and Enrolled Nurses. This is a great opportunity to further develop nursing skills in a busy and supportive team environment.

The successful applicants will be supported throughout this role, with a JHH orientation program, an Outpatient Service orientation and a “buddy” system. Service-specific education and training is also provided for clinical procedures and processes etc.

Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital is a tertiary referral hospital, teaching hospital and community hospital featuring fifteen operating theatres, 550 adult beds and 101 paediatric beds.
