JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Assisting in estimating and tendering
- Contracting and scope of works management
- Overseeing and managing design and drafting
- Managing compliance with Australian Standards and BCA
- Takeoffs and ordering
- Managing overseas and local procurement
- Managing system testing and compliance
- Overseas travel for system testing, factory QA, visual mock ups
- Senior project management including overseeing other project managers and working directly on jobs
- Site management including installation – both direct labour and subcontractors
- Quality management and quality control during all stages of construction – design, procurement, manufacturing and site installation
- Managing local subcontractors and suppliers
- Operating from our office located in Kurnell (Sydney)

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:

- All duties mentioned in above job description
- Minimum of 20 years demonstrated relevant experience
- Façade contracts up to and over $20m in value
- Extensive knowledge of all relevant Australian Standards and BCA
- Extensive knowledge and experience of commercial façade systems available both locally and overseas
- Specific and extensive experience is absolutely required in dealing with the following commercial façade systems:
- Curtain wall
- Window walls
- Point fixed and structural glazing
- Rooflight / Skylight systems
- Shopfronts
- Sliding doors and windows

OTHER TASKS INCLUDE:

Planning policy, and setting standards and objectives
Providing day-to-day direction and management, and directing and endorsing policy to fulfil objectives, achieve specific goals, and maximise profit and efficiency
Assessing changing situations and responding accordingly by issuing commands and directives to subordinate staff
Consulting with staff on matters such as methods of operation, equipment requirements, finance, sales and human resources
Authorising the funding of major policy implementation programs
Representing the organisation at official occasions, in negotiations, at conventions, seminars, public hearings and forums, and liaising between areas of responsibility
Preparing, or arranging for the preparation of, reports, budgets and forecasts, and presenting them to directors
Selecting and managing the performance of senior staff
