Full or part time maternity cover contract opportunity in small, family run private hospitality company. June start date targeted.

Your New Role
Reporting to the finance director, you'll take a handover from the current accountant who is going on maternity leave. You'll lead a small team of admin staff who will assist with bookkeeping and basic accounting entries. You will be hands on with month end, financial reporting, variance analysis + commentary, and business partnering with hospitality managers in your business unit. Your role will be all finance encompassing, including: tax compliance, inter-company transactions, fixed assets, payroll, A/R, A/P, treasury, inventory accounting, and systems accounting in a Xero environment. In addition to your core role as the company accountant, you'll likely be asked for ad hoc analysis, reports, and continuous improvement projects. More than just a caretaker, you will be encouraged to suggest more optimal ways of operating.

Your Profile
You are 1-2 year post qualified CA/CPA/CIMA accountant with commercial experience, ideally in an Small-Medium sized enterprise. You have experience providing timely and accurate financial information, demonstrated Australian tax compliance experience, and experience covering both financial & management accounting responsibilities. You are a team player, a business partner, commercially minded, and an enthusiastic, positive person. You enjoy working in a varied role in a smaller company where you are known to all by first name (or nickname, preferably).
