About the role and you:
These are fantastic opportunities to be part of our dynamic national team who is instrumental in the delivery of outcome-focused transport solutions, targeted at delivering innovative and fit-for-purpose engineering outcomes. We are looking for highly motivated intermediate to Senior level Bridge / Structural Engineers with strong focus on asset management and demonstrated project management skills. At the crossroad between consultancy and research, you will develop engineering solutions to address our clients’ challenges and increase the life and performance of their assets. Innovation is key to our work and you will be encouraged to use lateral thinking and to consider international know-how to devise solutions delivering a positive impact on our communities.

With a strong interest in research and asset management, you know how to develop solutions to the most complex challenges thanks to your problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You are keen on maintaining and enhancing your technical skills and you are not afraid to take the lead in offering solutions across a range of techniques. You have strong technical writing skills which augment your commercial experience and allow you to transform complex information into easy-to-understand materials. Lastly, you like working in a team environment while taking full accountability and being truly passionate about making a difference to our community.

We are seeking individuals who are keen to be a part of ARRB’s future and who will be key team members, to contribute to the delivery of local, State and National projects and initiatives.

Roles can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Perth.

Ideally you have:

Minimum of 5 up to 15 previous relevant experience within the civil/ transport/ infrastructure space
Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
Experience in inspection, prioritization and developing maintenance and renewal programs for bridges
Experience in asset management techniques including, Asset Management Systems, condition assessment and development of short- and long-term Asset Management Plans, with exposure to local government environment.
CPEng, MIEAust and/or RPEQ
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, is an attentive and active listener and able to communicate at all levels
Successful track record in leading commercially viable projects
Experience delivering projects in a consultancy environment
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop less experienced team members
Business acumen / commercial experience to interrogate and interpret RFQs and prepare successful quotations/tenders for the delivery of structures advisory and inspection projects.
Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to develop a client base.
Bridge Assessment experience (Level 1 & 2 Inspections)
