Salary range: Level 6, $80,902 – 85,500 or Level 7, $ 88,560 – 98,259 or Level 8, $98,769 - $107,959 p.a. + 9.5% super

About the team

The SMS team within Uni IT, Enterprise Applications, supports a number of enterprise wide software systems including Callista, the Student Information Management System. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to improve its software services.

Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will operate independently and provide the delivery of business analysis and requirements gathering, process re-design and improvements to enable the successful delivery and maintenance of Information and Technology services. You will also be responsible for establishing the testing strategies and plans for solutions and services to ensure robust and consistent delivery across the University.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
Substantial relevant experience in a Business or Systems Analyst role or a role requiring business analysis or process improvement in large and complex organisations
Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, testing and verification
Demonstrated experience in establishing testing strategies and plans, business cases and investments options modelling at an appropriate level
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
Knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable
Knowledge of business process engineering methods is desirable
ITIL certification is desirable

About you

To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess SQL writing skills and have experience with relational databases. You will require the ability to communicate across all levels and to build strong working relationships. Experience with complex enterprise-wide systems, particularly Student Information Management Systems such as Callista, will see you excelling in this role.
