We're looking for a positive and professional Chef and cook who enjoys the thrill of a busy service to hit the ground running at this busy Western Pub

Located in the outer west Penrith / Emu Plains, this is a popular and established pub. It is part of a supportive company who run multiple successful venues. It's a high-volume, predominately corporate venue which can pump out big numbers in an organised and consistent services. The food is a quality modern approach to Pub food with a busy Events area - it keeps the regulars coming back day in, day out.

The Role

The role requires someone used to keeping a calm and level head when the pressure is on. Producing good quality food for the bistro and functions from one large kitchen, it's pumping so you will need to have the "5th gear" to turn it up a notch when it's on.

You will be day to day working with your guys in the kitchen, running a section etc working in a positive working environment.

What you will need

It's a hands-on role, whether you are on the busy grill section, larder or pass. Basically, in there with the guys getting your hands dirty. It's a big kitchen and plenty of storage, so it works well for the food and covers they are doing.

The ideal candidate is:

• Someone who is a great cook and can also handle a section when under the pump
• Humble and down to earth
• Hard-working and adaptable
• Highly organised and can maintain high consistency in service and prep.
• Can create calm and collaborative energy with the team
