About Sydney Metro

Transport for NSW is delivering a once-in-a-century investment into new infrastructure and services, including Sydney Metro. The first line of this new fully automated railway opened in 2019 and by 2024 will deliver 31 metro stations and more than 66km of metro rail. Planning is also underway for future lines which will shape the way Australias largest city travels, making Sydney Metro the biggest public transport project in the nations history

Corporate Services

The Corporate Service team within Sydney Metro supports the whole organisation including Operational and Project teams with best-in-class IT, Technology, Procurement, HR, Financial Management and Communications functions. We partner closely with the business as well as with senior stakeholders, media and community groups to drive performance, build relationships and manage our exemplary reputation.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Project Finance & Reporting to join us in Corporate Services/Finance & Risk, at Sydney Metro base at 680 George Street, Sydney. The role reports to Senior Manager, Enterprise Project Finance & Reporting.

The primary purpose of the role is to prepare a range of budget and financial reporting providing whole-of-project oversight for major stakeholders and supporting the implementation and continued monitoring of the projects financial performance.

What you will be involved in

* Managing and prioritising peak workloads and the expectations of key stakeholders
* Providing timely, accurate and insightful advice in a large and complex environment
* Obtaining transparency of information and respecting commercial confidentiality

About you

You are a tertiary qualified in accounting, business or commerce form a recognised tertiary inititution and be looking for an opportunity to bring your transport or construction industry experience in project finance experience in to Sydney Metro.

You have extensive transport or construction industry experience. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of SAP and Excel and have demonstrated computer literacy at an advanced level.

You will be a team player and able to build relationships with key stakeholders not only within the finance team and the wider Sydney Metro Office.

Salary and Benefits

This is a Transport Senior Service Grade 8 ($118,015- $132,176) role offering an attractive remuneration package.
