Anelay is an exciting, brand-new food & beverage project on The Strand in Townsville, the building is due to be completed mid-November and we’re set to open the doors early December. Overlooking the beach with views of the amazing Strand and Magnetic Island in the background. Anelay positions itself right in the midst of all the action on the waterfront.

The property will consist of a large restaurant and a roof top bar. We will have a multi-faceted menu with a collection of cuisines including Italian, Asian, gorgeous locally sourced seafood, an impressive grill selection, and a sweets kitchen that will feature an in-house Artisian Gelateria, altogether creating a Modern Australian dining experience.

We have several full-time opportunities within our large kitchen brigade, we’re looking for experienced hospitality professionals to step into Sous Chef / Junior Sous and Chef de Partie roles. Sponsorship will be available to the right people who are currently in the country and eligible.

Chef trade qualification (essential)
Previous experience within a casual fine dining environment (hatted experience highly regarded)
Culinary professionals with an exceptional eye for detail
Service orientated, always prepared to go above and beyond
Proactive, energetic, good willed with a nurturing nature
Exceptional knowledge of food safety & hygiene
A passionate love for our industry, all things food and wine
Motivational with a desire to be pivotal in bringing people together, strong team work ethics
Willingness to relocate

About the Roles
These roles will be focused on delivering consistent high-quality dishes, in a very busy establishment as per brand standards. Simultaneously creating memorable and seamless experiences for our guests and a pleasant, successful environment for our staff to thrive in.

Key responsibilities of the roles include:

Be able to cook
Execute smooth efficient services
Follow directives from, and support Head Chefs / Exec team
Control food quality effectively e.g. cooked correctly, seasoned correctly, presentation standards
Lead allocated section during lunch and or dinner service
Support the Commis Chefs and junior staff members
Ensure Food Safety & Hygiene procedures are followed
