Ever wondered if all your recycling efforts are making a difference? Recently released Australian 2007 newspaper recycling statistics indicate that 76.7% of old newspapers were recovered for recycling, increasing slightly on the year before.

Through the recycling of old newspapers alone, Australian's have the potential to save more than a million tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Which is equivalent to taking 250,000 large cars off the road for a year.

These statistics certainly indicate that recycling efforts are having an effect on the reduction of carbon emissions. .
